In fact it is such a outstanding milestone, I think Mobileread should buy each member an e-reader of their choice ;-)
Ok... maybe just the person who posted the 500,000 post... and maybe just a gift card to the ebookstore of their choice...
But if you do want to give us all celebratory readers, make mine a Kindle DX.
