It's only $4.00 including shipping. I have bought from this company before and the stuff they sell is usually basic, but honestly described. It has a positive indicator in the center pin, as I am uncertain about the EE's polarity.

Simple answer NO.

Longer answer, 5v DC will NOT charge a battery that requires 12v DC. The EE charger has a 12v DC @ 2.5A output, any charger that will supply that voltage and current will work with the appropriate plug (centre positive). Also the current available can be greater than the 2.5A as long as it is at 12v.
