Surprising since it didn't follow the annual release yes. Unsurprising since it would let Apple release all iUnits at the same time, exploit iOS releases in the marketing, introduce the Lightning connector on all iUnits, exploit christmas sales, and draw even further ahead of the competition.
Many more reasons for than against.
