I've been asking myself the same question: which device is (or will) be better? I've been trying to unearth the technical specs for the Samsung E60, but haven't been entirely succesfull. Here's a quick list of items though:
Pros of the Samsung E60
- It looks pretty slick, with that slide-mechanism-thingy
- The video's show a good responsetime when navigating through pages and drawing with the stylus.
- (Potential: the 'Emo-link'-functionality, whatever it may be )
Cons of the Samsung E60, compared to the BeBook Neo/Onyx Boox- PDF-wise, it only supports the PDF/A-subset of that filetype. (A PDF format mainly used for long-term archival of documents, in wich fonts are already embedded).
- It doesn't support MS-Word files. (I understand the Boox will, using the to be released 1.5-version of it's firmware. I guess the Neo will integrate this functionalty as well).
- It supports 8 levels of gray-scale, whereas the Neo/Boox can use 16.
- It has a relatively short battery life. (Neo/Boox have a 8000-page load).
