3. The Devilís Own Dear Son (1949)

Short novels featuring pirates, the surprising behaviour of the devilís son, told with irony and detachment. The first novel features a pirate king who becomes detached from his shadow which assumes a life of its own. The second story has a man discovering and visiting his demonic dad.
