It's just a bunch of guys that import Kindles and re-sell them. It's effectively a club. If there are geographical restrictions on the resale of Kindles, keep in mind that Thailand is not a place that exactly respects that sort of thing.

I'm currently in Thailand. It will never catch on here. It will never likely support Whispernet. The Thai cellphone companies... Never mind. It will never work here. The culture isn't interested, and the cost is more than a top-end cellphone -- something people would want much more. It's half or more of the price of a new motorcycle, which would be a more realistic dream of many families.

It will never reach critical mass here. Never.
