Englishman Albert Dorrington (1874-1953) adventured to Australia aged about 16, began having stories published in The Bulletin magazine by 1895, and with his growing family returned to the UK in 1907. He carved a successful niche for himself writing pulp adventure stories for magazines and newspapers, and also wrote several novels. They mostly reflect his youthful adventures in Australia and the south sea islands.
