Ernest Favenc: 1845-1908. This English born Australian explorer, poet, journalist, historian and fiction writer was an early Australian writer of fantasy and supernatural stories. This is a collection of amusing short-short stories which were published as a series entitled "Tales of the Unexplainable" (somewhat irregularly) in Saturday edition of Sydney's Evening News from September 1895 to March 1896. This is the first time they have been published since then.
