A dozen short stories from the literary magazine "The Black Cat", a Boston publication edited by the author from 1896 to his death in 1922. There is a introduction by Jack London. One story is co-authored by T F Anderson, who was an occasional contributor to "The Black Cat" in the 1890s, but nothing else is known of him.
i have added the issues of "The Black Cat" in which the stories were first published, and any pseudonym the author used. The most common was Harold Kinsabby, the surname surely being slyly reminiscent of "Quien Sabe", "who knows?"
