This is a story of a poor young man, ripped of his heritage by his uncle and a few other very bad men and sent innocently in Siberian ban. Of course, our hero, in the end, claims back his due and the bad man are punished. Saghalien
is still one of the last surviving true wildernesses and the hero's adventure a joy to read.
