Oh, agreed! In addition, I'm fed up with "blurbs" that are about the author, instead of the book.

Sure. There are a few authors I'll buy on name alone. I can't remember the last time I read the blurb on a J D Robb novel before deciding to buy the book. But most of the time, I want to know what the bleeping *book* is about!
