I'll come in with a few random clues to some authors and illustrators mostly associated with children's books.

1. Screenwriter on The Wizard of Oz, and A Christmas Carol (aka Scrooge), also a successful author. Noel Langley (Fbone)
2. Illustrator of many children's books, including Stig of the Dump and two books by Noel Langley (The Land of Green Ginger and Desbarollda, The Waltzing Mouse). Also a successful author of his own children's books.
3. Notable illustrator of the works of two of the Inklings
4. Author with an alliterative name, wrote a "wizards in the real world" series long before J K Rowling.
5. Illustrator of many of Roald Dahls' books. Quentin Blake (Bilbo1967)
