My mother's idea of 'gourmet' was to put some cut-up chicken in a roasting pan (legs w/thighs, whole breasts, etc.,) and pour over a bottle of Kraft "French" salad dressing and bake. She thought this was the most wonderful dish. I confess that it did have an 'interesting' flavor, but not something I ever tried to replicate once I moved out of their house.
