Als ich heute unterwegs war blieb ich bei der Sendersuche im Autoradio auf NDRKultur hängen. Es lief grade Elmer Bernstein, d.h. sein wohl berühmtestes Stück (und wir reden von einem Kerl, der von "To Kill a Mockingbird" bis "Wild Wild West" alles mögliche vertont hat).

Hier also der Meister selbst am Pult der Royal Albert Hall:



Das Konzert gibts auch in ganzer Länge. Das fängt er in GB natürlich mit der Titelmelodie von "The Great Escape" (Gesprengte Ketten) an und beendet es auch damit .
