This is just as it says: a chronology day by day of World War II from the U.S. entry after Pearl Harbor to the final surrender of the Japanese September 1945.
When one reads any history of the period, it is hard to grasp the sweep of events. This chronology presents all the military events of that day whether in the Middle East, East Asia, Southeast Asia, the Pacific or in Europe.
This is a publication of the US Army Center for Military History and as a US government document, it is in the public domain.
The Hyperwar version of this document was used as a base. It is set up for a basic e-reader with internet hyperlinks removed. Someone else with a tablet device might care to re-do it leaving numerous hyperlinks to ship descriptions, etc intact. As a chronology, it has no illustrations.
