You can do that already, but anyone with experience will tell you not to screw up your library by adding series info to your titles in your calibre library.

Metadata plugboards were created to prepend series to the title on the fly as the book is sent to your device (Kindle). Read the "Techniques to use plugboards, custom columns and templates" Sticky post for more info.

A side note for new users, there are sticky posts at the top of all calibre forums with info that is pertinent to calibre's use. All new users should review these posts when they have a chance.
