The file in the zipped file is
Goodreads.json not Goodreads.

If you follow the steps and replace your Goodreads.json file with the
Goodreads.json in the zip and then start calibre you should have quite a few mapped genres ready to go.
If it doesn't work I'll be glad to upload the exact file I'm using currently.
Update: Upon review the file that is zipped is the exact file I'm currently using.
