Harry, you might want to have a look at this
("Challenges and Directions for Monitoring P2P File Sharing Networks" or "Why My Printer Received a DMCA Takedown Notice") before you presume too much about the validity of the 'evidence'. While there's a good chance that many of the recipients are 'valid' detections, there's also some very big assumptions going on, e.g. regarding spoofing, indirect detections and p2p vs wifi dhcp timeouts.
