This is a biography, with b/w illustrations, of Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat, a Jacobite, known as the "Old Fox". He was the last man to be publicly beheaded in England, for his part in the
Forty-Five, Bonnie Prince Charlie's attempt on the thrones of England and Scotland.
Mackenzie's book was first published in 1908, and this is a re-formatted version of the very messy files available elsewhere, which appear to be sourced directly from the scanned PDFs held by the University of California, and at Harvard.
