I am anxious to get a copy of the new firmware from one of the new multi-language kindles to compare against the current 5.0.4 firmware. This sounds like a MAJOR firmware update.
Me too. There will be:
  • landscape/portrait mode (don't know if automatic via the grav. sensor or manual)
  • extended wi-fi (added 802.1x, but no certificates)
  • multi-language interface
  • KF8 support (!)

No multilingual X-Ray and TTS support at this time (english only). See here.

In any case definitely a MAJOR update. BTW, as far as I could see in the various screenshots in amazon.it/.fr/.es/.de/co.uk, it does not look like the interface is going to change that much (IMHO it will be pretty much the same).

From amazon.de:

Notice that black square on the top-right (maybe change orientation?).

One more screenshot fron amazon.de:

Some more snapshots here (font size dialog, dictionary, store, on-screen keyboard -pictures at right).

Here is the user guide from amazon.co.uk. It's the same as the italian one.
