Since it happens for the menu items, tell the plugin developer that they should keep explicit references to all the qactions in their plugin's menus to ensure they are not garbage collected.
Interesting. It's actually when I try to do anything in the plug-in. I have one other plugin (Goodreads Sync) that has the exact same issue, but then I use another plug-in (ReadingList -- developer for Goodreads Sync) that works perfectly. I had installed Python at one point (deleted, reinstalled, deleted), so I'm wondering if I deleted indiscriminately?
