I know, but I wanted to be sure that it wasn't a path issue.
It's strange. If I run fbgnuboy like this:

#!/bin/sh
cd /mnt/us/fbgnuboy
./fbgnuboy --help > gnuboy.log
I get the help text, but if I do this:

#!/bin/sh
cd /mnt/us/fbgnuboy
./fbgnuboy tetris.gb 2> gnuboy.log
Then I get:
cannot access /: Read-only file system
