I am using Win7, and have installed the file in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Calibre2\resources\fonts

This has worked, but as it is a sub-folder of the calibre program installation folder, I assumed it would be replaced when calibre is updated. Is this what you meant when you referred to configuration directory folders, or did you have somewhere else in mind?
