Problem installing / using latest Calibre update

When I went to install the newest Calibre update, I got an error that says

Quote:
"Error opening file for writing:

D:\Program Files\Sony\Calibre\a______________________________ __________
__________________________________________________ _________________
_______________________________________b"
(Note: That may not be the exact number of underscores - I didn't count them, but that's about how long it looked )

It then gave me the standard "Abort, Ignore, Retry" options. I chose to "Ignore" just to see what would happen, and the install finished, but when I then opened the program and tried to import books (all free books without DRM) I got the following error message:

Quote:
not well-formed (invalid token): line 1, column 2

Any help, suggestions, smacks upside the head with a clue-by-four anyone might care to offer?
