Free (nook/Kindle/ChristianBk/Kobo/Sony) 11:15: Making of a Halfling [YA Paranormal]

11:15: The Making of a Halfling by Heather Burch is an illustrated prequel story to her upcoming YA paranormal fantasy/maybe romance "Halflings Trilogy", the eponymous first book of which is slated for Jan 2012. This is free courtesy of Christian publisher Zondervan.

Currently free @ B&N; does not seem to exist in the other stores yet but will undoubtedly show up later if they get it, since this is obvious tie-in promo material . Also free @ Amazon (available to Canadians), where they didn't bother putting it under the author's name and a search for "halflings" turns up 2 pages of unrelated works. It's a 4MB file, by the way.

Credit where credit is due: this was found via the handy Free NOOKbook Summary Blog, which maintains a useful list of all the currently valid B&N freebies in their sidebar links.

Description
In this illustrated prequel to the Halflings trilogy, written by Heather Burch, Mace and Raven are given a mission to stop a catastrophic event. With his halfling abilities still untapped, Vine is allowed to join the mission, but only as a spectator. The clock is ticking and the tragedy is proving difficult to stop. Will Vine be able to sit back and watch, or will the power of heaven unleash just in time?
