Why couldn't you have started with this pleasant guess instead of getting yourself all worked up with those other bad guesses for months?

A library has four licenses (from overdrive) for an ebook (no format specified on the licenses). They lend it to four people at a time on a first come, first served basis... regardless of what format they need. No evil; "the epubs are all lent out but a kindle user jumped ahead of me in line because there was a mobi available!! " Did you really think they were going to allow that kind of ugly scenario to develop?

It'll work fine, you'll see. And if it doesn't... why get all worked up before you need to?
