I just finished
Vanishing Act by Thomas Perry and can't imagine how I missed this author for all these years! This book grabbed me by the throat in the first chapter and never let go. I ended up getting about 3 hours of sleep that first night, and not getting any work done the next day.
So, clearly, plenty of action and suspense. But what I really liked was that this is a protagonist who:
- is First Nations
- is a woman
- is strong
- is unapologetic
So, I've now read the second one in the series, and my wife is on her fourth. If you like Michael Connelly, Spenser, etc, you'll like these.
