Lawrence, D.H.: The Rainbow, v1 18 Dec 2010

It's quite hard to find a first edition of The Rainbow. It was published in the UK by Methuen in 1915, and out of the original 2,527 copies printed, 1,195 were destroyed after the book was banned under the Obscene Publications Act. It was unavailable in Britain for 11 years, although editions could be found in the US.
