Wie ist denn die html codiert? Als UTF-8 oder ISO-8859-1? Siehe auch hier.

Probier's statt א also mal mit &_#_1488; und statt ב mit &_#_1488;

Aber ohne die beiden _-Unterstriche!!! Wenn ich es ohne die schreibe, werden Alef und Bet nämlich gleich korrekt hier angezeigt ...

Hoffe, es klappt. Ich hatte ein ähnliches Problem mal mit dem griechischen Alphabet.
