I think the movie based on "Fatherland" was better. I think the book's writing just wasn't very good.

"In the presence of Mine Enemies" by Turtledove has the same premise but is better written. Or if you want to go dystopian, "The Children's War" by Stroyar is also very good. It's a little depressing, though.
