Not much has been said after the initial launch (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8221) of Adobe Digital Editions in October last year, but today David of TeleRead reports (http://www.teleread.org/blog/?p=6070) that a beta of the Flash-based PDF/ePub XHTML reader is now also available for the Mac platform, both for PowerPC and Intel-based machines.

Also, a friendly tipster let us know that the beta of the PC version has been updated. Among the changes are support for bitmap printing, copy to clipboard, a basic set of short-cut keys, mouse scroll-wheel support, proxy support, and lots of bug fixes.

I still use it, actually I prefer it to Acrobat reader.

When will we see it as a native app. in a reader? That would be nice. :)

It refuses to migrate my encrypted Amazon purchased PDF's.

Says I have to go to Amazon and re-download the PDF's to access them.

Silly thing doesn't know Amazon wiped all the PDF's... way to go Adobe!

It is a nice piece of work; but, it seems that it may have taken on some of the future enhancements that were designed for the Acrobat Reader. My only thought is that Adobe is splitting the prodct and this will be the reading tool while Acrobat will be the creation tool.

What I like most about it is that it is not cluttered with an exess of functions and that it is sizably small. Browsing through the library is nice and so is zooming in a page .
