Red face Mobi books, same experience as kindle?
I havent bought a e-reader yet but im planning on getting the Kindle dx.

My question is will getting e-books in mobiformat(drm free) and viewing
them on the Kindle be the same experince as it would be in viewing a kindle
book asw format?

Or will it be some what different in say, text clarity, navigation ability to
change size of text?

No difference at all. Kindle books are Mobi books.

Not all MOBI ebooks have "way points", which can be used for navigation on the Kindle. However, Calibre can automatically add way points to DRM-free MOBI ebooks for you.

Many Amazon-sourced AZW books also lack the chapter navigation features, though, so it's not really a difference.

(I always de-DRM and run my books through Calibre to make sure they contain a proper TOC and chapter navigation.)
