I just heard iliad need travel hub to charge it with charger.
And I just want to make a tool to charge directly by using some part of travel hub.

From my experience, Customs issues were dealt with by the carrier (UPS). If you don't want to deal with directly importing the iLiad, you could go through the authorized dealer in the US: Ereader Outfitters (http://www.ereaderoutfitters.com)

iRex said they'd pay for the return of my 2nd defective iLiad but I just got a bill from UPS detailing the transport, customs and penalty fees (for the rejected billing to the iRex UPS account.)

So who knows? I'm sure we'll eventually get this rectified but with no compensation to me for the time and trouble they've caused me.

When I talk to autorized dealer, he mentioned PDA is duty free. And He also ships it from Germany. So no difference.

3% or about $21 + Brokerage Fee charged by UPS for paying the money to US Customs $5. And if they have to bill you they want $12 penalty fee.

Right now UPS wants me to cough up a little over $100 for returning the iLiad to iRex for exchange at the beginning of September (sort of a 3 month old surprise.)

I'm hoping I'm not going to regret ordering their deluxe case for the iLiad. :-(
