All stories were required to be handwritten (among other restrictions) and nobody entered.

So, how is the contemporary life in Kent? And where is Kent anyway? That's south-west of London, right?

Well, I think it's a great shame that this idea failed. Anything that encourages good handwriting is to be applauded.

That said, there's no way I would enter a competition like this that requires hand-written entries. The level of handwriting in the world today is appalling, but mine is even worse. I wouldn't want to inflict it on anyone.

Sweetpea, you asked: And where is Kent anyway? That's south-west of London, right?
Nearly right. It's south-east.

I think it is a pretty cool idea to have everyone do it that way.

I can see how it failed though. A lot of people are dependint upon spellchecker. :D
