What is the meaning of the Misc folder in the left hand pane? Because i use free fonts, i wanted to add the font's licence text, and i imported it into the misc folder, but after saving the file, the licence text was gone again.
Do i have to add it outside of Sigil?

Sigil routes files into the correct folder according to the file's extension. Thus, JPG's, PNG's, SVG's etc. end up in Images; HTML, HTM, XHTML end up in Text etc.
Anything Sigil can't figure out ends up in Misc.
But if you added a file and it ended up in Misc, it should still be there after saving and then loading the file. If it's not, create a new issue on the tracker.

But do note that any file added to an epub that is not reachable by the Reading System in some way effectively does not exist. If you just add files to the Misc folder and the user cannot browse to them in some way, then they'll never be even aware that the files are in the epub.
RS's don't display epub container contents to the users.

You gave the answer to the problem. I renamed the file LICENCE to LICENCE.txt and now it stays in the ePub. If it has no extension, it disappears. Don't know if this is a bug or a feature though :chinscratch:

That's right. But should the reader of an ePub be able to read the licence of the embedded fonts? IMHO this is needed for those people who have the intention of extracting fonts. And if they are capable extracting, they probably are capable reading the licence text.
