Looks like a misc bug and security release. But is it worth giving up internal access for?

It is a creative use of the word "leak", not as in "memory leak". In any case, I have got a mathematical physics paper to read and I will be out sync for two or three days (sorry Scotty, I wanted to keep tracking the libraries, but this is more urgent :( ). If someone accidentally updates his machine I'd be interested on knowing what the fix is, please contact me privately then.
Let me add, I find positive the way iLiad is announcing this update: instead "miscelaneus security fixes" they are telling us what they are fixing so it is up to us to decide downloading or not.

I've edited my er_registry files to make sure I don't have an "accident". :)
I'm pretty sure I know another exploit. So if anyone does have an accident let me know via PM.

I reserve my oppinion for two weeks. As I told, the fact of alerting seems cooperative to me. Compare with 2.5 update.

There are no new icons and it seems to work the same to me.
Does anyone know what has been improved?

Look up 5 entries (post #3 (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showpost.php?p=43896&postcount=3))

Since I see absolutely no reason in fixing this local exploit except from keeping us out I call it non-cooperative.
I fear that iRex might want to plug each and every hole before they give us the GPLd sources and only limited access to our device.
