I was wondering if anyone has tried this.

Now that 2.7 is out with landscape and zoom, I'm really really thinking about breaking down and buying the iliad.

I'm in IT and would mostly use the illiad for reading manuals, documentation, and information I find on the web. I'll usually make a pdf of whatever I want to save with a program called CutePDF (http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp). It's free software, and sets up as a virtual printer. Whatever you're looking at, you can print to the CutePDF driver, and it will make a pdf of it.

I was wondering if anyone had used this software for creating content for the illiad. You can change the size that it prints to in the advanced options, but I'm not sure if that actually works. It seems to default to letter, and print only as that no matter what you change it to.

I'm using Open Office (openoffice.org), also free - allows any page size you want when exporting to a .pdf.

I 2nd the OpenOffice suggestion. It's very very nice and easy to use.

Pretty much every PDF driver should work; I have , so far, used the Adobe PDF printer, NitroPDF printer and a misc PDF printer my school uses. All worked fine, and the outputs were perfectly legible on the iLiad. I did find a quirk however. When printing using the Adobe's printer and setting the margins @ 0.3 cm, the file on the iliad had bigger margins.
Using the same settings with NitroPDF the output pdf had much smaller margins (close to 0.3 cm)

BTW....if you guys are wondering about NitroPDF, PlanetPDF uses the same software to create their PDF's. The only problem i had with it is when i tried to create a template.
I just couldnt figure it out, and the instructions on their website seem to not apply to my version (although the 'how to' was written for the software version i have)
