Anyone know if the pocketbook ereaders are compatible with the wireless SD cards that are currently available? Would be extremely nice if these worked to connect to your home network to upload books.

I don't know what you mean with wireless sd card's but the pocketbook's should be compatible with SDHC cards and if this wireless sd card thing does not need the interaction with devices it should also work but dunno

Well wifi sd or sdhc cards are just like sd / sdhc cards but they have wireless built in to them. Which allow your camera's to connect to a network. So imagine your camera which has to be plugged in to your computer via usb cable to transfer your pictures from the device to your computer. Stick in a wireless sd / sdhc card and viola no need for the usb transfer cable.

Was just curious if these work with ereaders. Ive seen a few people on this board refer to them. But have seen anything other than general reference.

"We know for a fact the eye-fi is capable of bi-directional data transfer, since wifi handshaking requires a back-and-forth"

Umm, no. The card's cannot recieve data, and there is no back and forth required for authenticating a wifi network. The card uses the settings it has and either is able to join the network or not, there is no direct feedback from the network, either it connects and works or it doesn't.

This is out of the Eye-Fi forum http://forums.eye.fi/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1247
so it seems inpossible. Does any one knows when this cards will be avaible in Europe ?

Well you would think it could be sent to (written to). But good idea on contacting them.

Well that seems like a bad design to me. Something that should be able to do something but doesn't because of (in my opinion) a bad design or limitation.

well they only just got the one direction working it's very new. given time im sure they will find a way to fit everything necessary in the cards.

and btw the pb (302 i think the others too), only support micro-sdhc cards and the eye-fi tech is based on standard sdhc cards

The 301 supports normal SD-SDHC cards.
