Is there a way to convert non-secure .pdb files into a format the Reader can display?

Searching for pdb to html wasn't yielding much, but pdb to txt came up with a dos prog called makedoc. That worked for converting the file, but I guess it removed some formatting (if there ever was some). Is there an easy way to restore paragraph/dialogue indentions?

Sorry for the basic questions & thanks for any help!

You could probably pull it into Word and set the hanging indent (under paragraph properties) for the whole document, but I'd expect that to give you mixed results -- indenting everything might not be what you want to do.

You might want to check out ProcessText Group's "ABC Amber Palm Converter." I'm using version 2.01, and it's freeware, and converts from .pdb to PDF, HTML, CHM, RTF, HLP, TXT, etc etc etc.

I'm going to be using it to transfer all of my ebooks in various (pdb/lit/chm) formats down to rtf or txt to move to BBeB when my Reader arrives.

The URL is: http://www.processtext.com/abcpalm.html

Nice find! I don't think you can use it to convert lit to rtf/txt though. Anyone know a good program for that?

ABClit is very good. I did find it choked on a few files with .opf xml files in. Not sure why. Seemed to work perfectly on all my other though.

Thanks for that link. I have a ton of PDB files and was dreading the conversion.

BTW it does not work on DRM files in PDB format
