After 3 weeks, I finally got my iRex today. It's running 2.4 and I haven't gotten to poke around too much yet, but I'm hoping to put Minimo through its paces tonight (particularly w/ Javascript performance, key codes, and to see what works in XUL...)

It seems sort of quiet here. Anyone made any recent breakthroughs? I'd like to retain full access to my machine, so I may end up leaving it on 2.4 until the SDK comes out, but I'm also curious as to what the 2.5 upgrades and leaves untouched (ie, if I can leave a present to retain shell access).

Feel free to PM or email.

The hacks described in this forum would work with your firmware, but not with the updated 2.5. We hope this situation can be "remedied" in 2.6 ;)

I think everyone is waiting for the SDK to come out. That way you have Irex's blessing on any changes and if you brick your machine at least you can blame them and not have to pay for them to un-brick it... There also might be some documentation included....

And its very probably that any hacks you make for 2.4 will get wiped out when 2.6 comes out anyway...
