Hello,
Does anyone have a backup of the default content for the iLiad? On my unit, the News, Books, and Notes sections are all empty. I was under the impression that there was default content for these.
I am particularly interested in the content of the notes directory, since I understand there are templates for scribbling notes.
Also, my software version displays 2.5-rc1. Is this the actual 2.5 release? When I connect for update, I get no new content.
Thanks in advance,
Bill

Before you get too excited about lost content try connnecting the iLiad up to your computer and browsing the files. I am sure that you will find the "missing" files.
Release 2.5 IMHO is very, very buggy. When I updated to 2.5 I thought all the original content was gone as well. After browsing on my computer while it was connected and after starting the iLiad a number of times I did "find" the "missing" files.
The directory stucture is a little different - as are most things on the iLiad and requires a little getting used to. Remember that this firmware is still very buggy.
With the current state of the firmware I am rather underwhelmed. The iLiad has been sitting on my desk turned off and un-used. As it currently sits it will display what I want as long as I carefully prepare/select the documents I need. Until there are improvements and implementation of promised functionality it is pretty limited with what you can do with it. I await seeing all the neat things the super hackers can come up with! I can't wait to see what they will do with the SDK!

I had browsed the content from my PC... the only files were in the documents directory: "Reference" and "Release Notes Version 2.5" directories.
Interesting that it was this way when removed from the box and first turned on.
I generally like the unit, but it does need software work. The user interface is "unique".
