gPDFText

Saw this on Freshmeat today... anyone know anything about it?

gPDFtext

gPDFText is a text editor that opens PDF documents for ebook readers, converts the text contents into plain ASCII text, restores the original paragraphs, and removes unwanted line breaks to allow easier zooming on the reader.
Here's the Release page on FreshMeat -- links to Wiki and BugTracker

Doesn't sound terribly sophisticated (or useful), but not having tried it, I can't really say. I'm not even sure I understand what it does. Does it just extract the text... or does it extract the text, so you can edit the text, and put it back into a PDF?
