Got mine... although I was worried as It kept on coming up as invalid username/password.
it turns out that their shop site is incompatible with Opera browser had to use I.E. instead (*shudders* I feel dirty :-( )

I am not sure. I am not getting any method to enter the credit car information, neither with firefox nor with mozilla. I am upgrading to test again.

I see. The secure payment handler rejects the charge if you have requested VAT exemption, a request that comes implicit when one fills the intracommunitary VAT number in the address field. Removing this field, the whole process works! So I have already done the request. And it is number 582, a long way since the #500 of Monday orders (even if some of them are for sure unconfirmed orders. I myself have produced one while hitting against the bug).

Incidentally, this bug implies that, as announced, the shop has not been used for companies, only for individual shoppers.

Rec'd my invite this morning. At the $800+ price I saw earlier I was thinking of waiting until September to see if there was a price drop, but at around $700 with shipping I'm probably ordering soon.

Now if only I knew what the surprise prize of the DRM note was all about :happy2:

Got my invitation this morning, successsfully ordered for US delivery just now (God, their website is sssllllloooowwww....).

It said something about 3-4 weeksfor US delivery.
I guess I shall while away the hours reading reading the upcoming tidal wave of posts from the lucky soon-to-be Iliad owners in Europe...

If we actually get it that soon...

...so now I just have to convince my wife that we really need an iLiad. On the one hand, she's eager to have a better eBook reader :happy2:. On the other hand, she's certain to say that the $$ aren't in the budget :angry:.

i already got my invite on 4th July. But since CCs are not very common in Germany (from my point of view) its now up to the bank, if i can order an Iliad in the near future.

At least i found one bank which gives one a CC for free. (i hope it comes without hooks).

BTW: i think Irex is seeing the Mobileread users as happily paying Beta testers.

After unsuccesfully trying to get an invite with my business mail-adress, I was able to get an invite with the help of this forum, thanks CommanderROR once again.

As I will not be home for at least the next 1 1/5 weeks, I will not order one this week, will just look if UPS can deliver the device and read the first comments.

To much work, so my post is a little late ;-) Ordered mine on the 5th of July (#526) and had a little trouble entering my shipping adress. Turns out that they posted the info (Name field to long) into the URL only and not onto the page. Not very helpful ;-)

Anyway.. besides the info who handles their invoicing no word about a deliverydate yet.

Thanks to CommanderROR I just got my invitation to the iRex online shop. However, I'm going to wait another day or two to see whether the shipping issues are resolved before ordering my iLiad.

(It's hard to keep me from ordering right away though;-))

Finally got my invite today. I've been leaving emails long and short with iRex for the last three months but obviously I don't have as much influence as ComanderROR to whom I'm very grateful! However, with all this waiting I'm in two minds whether to order before I start reading some feedback on these pages. I guess the excitement will get me in the end though. ;)

If you want to get through to iRex, use the irexshop email address, not the irextechnologies address...^^
As soon as you've created your account, you'll get a message...reply to that and you should be fine.

About ordering...if you can wait, then wait, at least until you see that the first devices have appeared (or at least some tracking numbers). By doing that you can save yourself from some of the stress we're having right now...as soon as you see that things are rolling then you can jump on the train...^^

Invite received. However, like others in the thread, I too need to wait for the cash flow to start up. But also, I'm going to wait for some other people to get through some of the first stumbling blocks.
