German IT magazine Heise.de snagged a quick glance (http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/73986) at the iRex iLiad with an overall positive opinion ("well thought out user interface", "display quality similar to printed paper"). They also reconfirm what we already know, namely that the release date in Europe is set to September 2006 at a price of around 600 Euro.

I read that article this morning, and i'm very intrigued that the New York Times and Los Angeles Times are going to be expireimenting with them. Is there any word from anyone about any way to volunteer or subscribe to the iLiad service through either of the papers??

It was on heise.de where I heard of iLiad first - on the verge of xmas 2005 (http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/67559).
