Hi - just joined the forum.
I've had my Sony PRS505 for the last two years - my better half gave it to me as a Christmas present in 2007. I had made the mistake of discussing ebook readers with her, but said I'd wait a couple of years before buying one - and she decided to surprise me. Because the Sony wasn't on sale in the UK at the time, she got it for me from the States - and I can honestly say it has been my best Christmas present ever.
We had just moved to a smaller home, and the bulk of my 1500 paperbacks were in boxes in the loft - and if I wanted to change the fifty or so in the bookcase, it was a major exercise. Our village has a library - but it is closed on Saturdays, which is the only day I am home. And with travelling four hours on the train each day, you can understand my high turnover in reading material.....
The Sony has been great - once I got rid of the rubbish Sony cover, and replaced it with a Tuff-luv leather one. It's easy to use, light, portable, fits easily in my jacket pocket - and I have used it almost every day for the last two years.
So, as you can tell, I'm an ebook enthusiast!

You have found a community where reading a LOT is considered normal. Welcome! I don't know much about UK libraries, but over here we have Overdrive, that lets us check out library ebooks via computer. You might have something like that to allow you to borrow books 24/7, worth looking into. Also, there are 10,000 ebooks at this MobileRead site. Click the "ebooks" link in the blue bar up above.

Hi debreos and welcome to MobileRead. We are such eBook addicts, we'd prefer a four hour commute just so we could read.
