Nick Hampshire (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/member.php?u=5077) of AFAICS Research (http://www.afaics.com/) is one of the few lucky ones who already had a sneak peek at the iRex iLiad reader. I just finished up reading his preview (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=6106), and from what I could gather, my short answer is: Yes, it lives up to the hype - almost. A high introductory price (649€) and little availability of published content seem to be its biggest cons yet - offset, however, by the excellent screen quality and the available option to import your own content.
