Kindle Arrives in Australia
Well my kindle 2 has arrived in Australia. Works very well with no whispernet connection problems. Downloaded newspapers and magazines. Slightly disappointed by the books not available for download (including Dan Brown).

Agree with all the above - especially about the narrow range of books available through Amazon here in Australia. I wonder when/if there will be a deal done with local publishers on ebooks?
Amazingly easy to access what is there via Whispernet but i don't just want to use 21st century technology to access 19th century classics. |

A friend of mine in Australia got his as well. He expressed the same sentiments to me as well: he likes the device but he hates the fact so many books aren't available in the region.
