OpenInkpot: free software for e-book readers (http://lwn.net/Articles/354714/), by Hanno Zulla, appears to be a good overview of the project. This should raise the project profile in the Linux community (I found it via Linux Today), and the article ends with: If you are a kernel developer with an e-ink reader lying around, you may just have found an exciting new hacking target.

Is the article correct about the PRS505 (The Sony PRS-505 may become the third supported e-reader, as there are only a few driver details missing.)?
Any timeframe as to when we might get it?

Hi. The status of the PRS505 port is discussed here (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56602). Afaict, there is no timeframe. It is mostly a matter of time, manpower and priorities. Right now, the OI team is focusing on the N516 for the upcoming 0.2 release. Apparently, in the meantime someone is porting to the Netronix EB 600, but don't ask me on that project's status.
