Anyone know of a way to export an epub file such that superscripts and subscripts aren't lost?

Export from where? And how are you checking that they're lost?

Because there are two possible explanations:

the exporting program is stripping the superscript/subscripts.
the reading program isn't displaying the coded superscipt/subscripts.

ePub does superscripts and subscripts using the vertical-align CSS attribute. You could expand the ePub you've created and take a look at the code to see whether it's the exporter or the reader that's causing your problem.

Anyone know of a way to export an epub file such that superscripts and subscripts aren't lost?

I'm exporting from Adobe InDesign CS4 and reading in Adobe Digital Editions. I won't have time to check the code until tomorrow, and will post again on what I find.

Thanks.

I export from Word 2002 using its html save and all superscripts and subscripts work fine.
