Today I bought my first ereader. The 300. From Borders.

After turning it on and off several times, and paging through my first book (Dan Brown, The Lost Symbol), the left half of my display went blank. I was just sitting on my bed, paging through the book. No amount of resetting could fix it.

My guess is I got a bad display. I'm exchanging it tomorrow. But has anyone heard of display issues with the 300's?

It's too bad. I was really looking forward to using it tonight. :(

Sounds like bad contact somewhere or faulty display controller. Just bad luck :/

Borders made the exchange no problems. The new one appears to be working fine. Guess I'll find out tonight with more extended reading time.
